Protect Your Home and Family from a Hurricane. We’re here to help.

The Miami Gardens Chamber of Commerce is hosting a free Hurricane Preparedness Workshop to help you protect you and your family from a hurricane. We will help you understand the hurricane insurance claims process with our team of experts – attorneys and insurance adjusters with many years of experience and provide you with information on community organizations and resources to help you and your family after a hurricane.

The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, June 27th from 6:30pm – 8:30pm at the Miami Rescue Mission – Miami Gardens location at 700 NW 175th Street, Miami Gardens 33169.

We will be joined by a representative from the American Red Cross who will discuss their process for meeting the immediate disaster-caused needs of individuals, families, and communities.

Kristi House will always provide your information about resources to help you and your children deal with the emotional trauma in the aftermath of a hurricane.

We will give free batteries to the first 25 registrants for the event workshop. Please RSVP at “Now is the time to get your hurricane kit and emergency plan in order, not after a hurricane watch has been announced, which is when everybody starts rushing out to the stores,” said Audrey Edmonson, Chairwoman of the Miami-Dade County Commission.

Join us for a Free Hurricane Preparedness workshop.

We’ll go over:

  • Property damage.
  • Insurance claim process including denial or underpayment on your claim.
  • Your rights in the claim process.

Our mission is to help homeowners get the help they deserve.
